This project utilised the full range of SC Innovation’s Product Life Cycle capabilities.  We worked with our client from concept design through to production and through-life support.  Having the full range of services in house allowed us to met the project’s short and critical time frames.

The Protected Crew Transfer Vehicle

The Protected Crew Transfer Vehicle is based upon a 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter.  It has been adapted for safe use in exploration and extraction operations. The vehicle is fully ATEX Zone 2 compliant giving the user the utmost confidence that it meets the requisite regulatory requirements for on-site safety.

• Protected passenger and driver cabin to protect against external environmental conditions including hydrocarbon gas, toxic gas or fire.
• Capable of handling loads in transit of up to 2Te.  It is produced in two protected variants, a personnel transit vehicle carrying a crew of 10 and a cargo transit vehicle with a 2000kg payload. The system can also be integrated into any vehicle of the customer’s choice – passenger, cargo or handling variants.
• Compliant with ATEX regulations, level 2. Compliant with the applicable standards for motor vehicles in the Republic of Kazakhstan
